Never one to shy away from a controversy, Marvin Bloom weighs in on the “Q Word” No, not Quakers, although he does takes a swipe the Religious Society of Friends. In this video Marvin warns about the hidden dangers and the lurking threat of using the word QUEER. (And if you need more Marvin in your life, have a listen to Trans-Ponder Podcast Episode 101 where Marvin talks about his new boyfriend!)
Bored? Want to view more video? The In the Life segment about Ex-Gay Survivors (episode 69) that aired on PBS this month is now available at YouTube (hat tip Truth Wins Out). Check out In God We Trusted.
And since I posted it on Sunday, over 2500 people have viewed my video Reasons Why I Went Ex-Gay. Various bloggers picked it up including Warren Throckmorton, a Christian therapist and someone who promotes and provides his own brand of ex-gay therapy under a different name.
Will there one day be an “Ex-Queer” movement? There already is.
Wow, a lot has happened with Marvin since I last checked in on him! Any way you can direct me to a “synopsis” of his transformation?
Also, it was an argument about this word (but with a much different approach) that was that last straw for me and a certain website.
Whittier, indeed. You can find the Marvin channel at YouTube by going here
Enjoy!
Towelroad featured your “why I’m ex-gay despite the fact that I still date men” video, too.
Marvin looks a bit queer with the glasses without lenses and the gray hair. When did he go gray?
BTW, I’m pretty sure that he has the exact 5 o’clock shadow that you do.
Hey there Joe. Sorry about your hemorrhoids. Wait, no you are being a pain in my a**. 🙂
Marvin took off the shades and went gray about the time he came out. Enough hiding in the shadows for him.
As to similarities to Marvin and me, well, he admires me a lot and likes to emulate me.
