Michael Eric Brown of TransMentors International has raised the alarm about ugly, misinformed and offensives comments uttered on a radio program earlier this week.
On Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 Janet Snyder and Nicholas Picholas on Kiss 98.5 in Buffalo ran a story on Scott Moore “The 2nd Pregnant Man.” Durning the story, both Janet and Nick responded in a transphobic, hateful and dismissive manner.

If you haven’t already done so, please write some letters today!

this is a numbers game. It doesn’t have to be poetry, it just has to express that you’re angry and want an apology.
Thank you for sharing this, I will twitter and repost on my blog.
Thank you Lexi for getting the word out.
Thanks, Peterson. I will get this out to my groups immediately. Eddie

Transgender women must be encouraged.
This only indicates how uneducated Janet Snyder and Nicholas Picholas are on this subject! …And proves that ‘our’ work is far from over! We must get out there in numbers!
There are only 331 signatures on the petition after several days. It is really bothering me that the LGB won’t stand up for the T.
Even MORE disappointed – the transman they ridiculed is GAY. GOT IT?
So not only are the LGB ignoring the T, they are NOT standing up for the rights of a GAY man to make his own choices with his life and his body.
Shame on those who are conveniently ignoring this simply because you’re uncomfortable with the issue of a transman choosing to conceive a child.
Michael,
I hear your frustration and anger. I just signed the petition today. I know that there are some in the LGB community, I’m an L for full disclosure, not ready to embrace our brothers and sisters of the T. (Why does this all feel so wrong to use these labels?) I don’t know many of the other signatories, but I hope that some of the LGB are there in the list. We’re not everyone, but those of us who are here love you.
Jane
Thank you, Jane. I appreciate you, and all the LGB people who DO advocate for and support us.
